Karenn - Studio 3

Holy mother of the techno Gods! Karenn is the collaborative duo of Pariah and Blawan. They are releasing their track "Studio 3" via the Green series, which is a collaboration between Bleep, graphic designers GiveUpArt and photographer Shaun Bloodworth. The track will be accompanied by The Analogue Cops "OCPLX1." A real techno goodie!

Matthias Zimmermann - Vincente

Parisian pair DJ Orgasmic and Teki Latex's Sound Pellegrino label features Matthias Zimmerman's latest called Vincente. The track is off his new Botanica Dub EP which also features tracks entitled "Quincy" and "Paul." Not sure why they are all male names... Anyway, the label has put a preview of Vincente up for your listening pleasure:
Update 05/11/12: Here is the rest of the EP:

Cherie Lee - Love Me or Leave Me (Oliver $ Remix)

1995 track Love Me or Leave Me is getting an update thanks to Oliver $. Originally produced by Mitchell Dupre, Oliver $'s version leaves us with a much more bouncier beat.

Kevin McPhee - In Circles

More than a month ago, I mentioned WNCL because of the amazing Groove Armada remix http://jackhadagroove.blogspot.ca/2012/09/groove-armada-pull-up-west-norwood.html. I thought this was a collective but it turns out it is the brainchild of Bob Bhamra. His label is WNCL Recordings, and its latest release comes from Toronto's Kevin McPhee. After sampling the new EP, this track really stood out for me:
You can hear the rest of the EP, which is still without a title, here:

Botnek - Sriracha & Beer EP

I feel kind of dirty every time I post something off of Dim Mak. Steve Aoki is just not one of my favs. With his cake throwing antics, and recent trampoline fail, I have a hard time taking him seriously. Despite that, he and his A&R team have been releasing tracks from some stellar artists as of late, and since I'm a champion of promoting sounds out of my hometown, it wouldn't be right to not mention Botnek's latest EP. Botnek's Erick Muise and Gordon Huntley are based in Montreal (though I don't think either is originally from Quebec) and have remixed the likes of Crookers (RIP!) and Jack Beats.

I'm really feeling "U Don't Get Me" and the Savage Skulls (Sweden's Carli Lof & Mans Glaeser) remix of "Think I Feel It." Check out the EP below:

Side note: I've never tried Sriracha out of fear...haha!

Tommy Trash - Truffle Pig

Australian producer Tommy Trash (aka "The Hair" as I like to call him. Heck, its even got its own Twitter account: twitter.com/TommyTrashsHair) has a new track coming off of Nick Catchdubs + A-Trak's Fool's Gold label. The track samples an oldie by ATFC called Bad Habit (or the original, by Jenny Burton).
The track is called Truffle Pig. When I Googled it, Wiki stated that a truffle pig is a domestic pig that used to extract a type of fungus known as truffles due to its keen sense of smell. I guess that would explain the video, though it looks like the poor pig has been commissioned in the concrete jungle. Despite the description, when I hear that name and all I can think about is food....haha!
Due November 6th, 2012 on Foooool's Gooooold!

Superhero - New York EP

Superhero are Toky (Fabio Petti) and Leon (Ruggero Di Gianvito, brother of Piero Di Gianvito aka Pirupa). Their new EP "New York" was oddly released on the same day the state was hit with a hurricane. I guess if you want to be blown away, you should pick up this EP (you know I had to insert a pun there!). The EP comes off of Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records, and the label head remixes the title track. If you're a tech-house fan, this is a must have!

Nick Curly - Underground (Dennis Ferrer Remix)

I feel like I've let the 2 people who read this blog down. I actually had this in my drafts months ago. Anyway, enough lamenting. Feast your ears on this: the Dennis Ferrer remix of Nick Curly's Underground. Its kind of ironic as both are quite vocal champions of the "underground" house sound. Well, mission accomplished with this remix. Features the vocals of Worthy Davis.

Santé featuring Lorenzo Hall - Homegirl

Berlin's Philipp Maier aka Sante's new track featuring the vocals of Lorenzo Hall has all the ingredients to a deep house masterpiece. It evokes so much emotion so effortlessly. While I am quickly becoming a Rampa fan, I am partial to the original. I'll let you decide! Its no surprise that Defected picked up this track, which is out now.

Symphony Hall - One Night Stand

Symphony Hall are the UK's Riton and France's Canblaster. Tragically in September 2011, Riton lost his French production mate DJ Mehdi in an accident. The two had produced together as Carte Blanche. I'm glad to see Riton joining forces again with another Frenchman, and the results are fantastic.  They are calling it a "one time" collaboration but I'm hoping that is not true. I mean, why bother to come up with a moniker then? One Night Stand features the vocals of Jay Norton, and Metal Arrives is a nice hommage to the times of UK raves. The release will come from Surkin, Para One and Bobmo's Marble label.
